The Brief:
“Create an outcome which explains the world to an outer being.”
Insight:
The target audience of this project is somebody that knows little or nothing about Planet Earth and so my work should cover the basic, essential and important things about the world.
Idea:
A series of animated shorts about the world. The animations provide information on a range of things, from the types of weather in the world to landmarks which can be found around the world.
Reach:
As well as being hosted on my Vimeo account, this project is also hosted on this website too as an alternative and more interactive way of viewing the videos. The user can click on the buttons or hover text to access the animated shorts. While the brief states that the target audience is ‘outer beings’, Earth Artefact can also serve as an educational piece for younger people.
